tuesday we had the opportunity to see our baby again! it seems like is has been so long since we had our last ultrasound at 8 weeks. this appointment couldn't come soon enough.
i am 13 weeks so at this point all of baby's limbs are fully formed and it's fingers and toes are developed. fingerprints are now even visable. (by the way... this is crazy to me - at 2 inches long our baby has a fingerprint unique to them! Shaped by God Himself, how cool is that!)
the baby was really active throughout the ultrasound. it kept stretching and moving trying to make itself comfortable, it was almost as if it was saying "mom, i need more room, it's a little tight in here!" i kept thinking... just wait. you have no idea what cramped is!
in the middle of the nurse trying to get a good read on the heartbeat (which was 167 bpm) it started SUCKING IT'S THUMB!!! you could see the head and mouth moving in a sucking motion. i was awestruck... amazing!
it is still too young to see the gender, so we will have to wait for our next ultrasound at 20 weeks. (Andy can hardly stand himself, worse than a kid of Christmas morning!)
here are some of our favorite pictures from the day! in case you can't tell, we love this little one with all our heart... and we haven't even met!
as for me:
i have been feeling better by the day. i am starting to have a lot more energy and not as nauseous. it is great! i think that with the weather getting nicer it has been helping too!

oh so exciting!! what a sweet little one already. it's amazing and such a blessing to see you both already embracing your roles as parents so well.
i can't wait to hear if you're having a boy or girl-if you are sharing of course! :) congrats denlinger 3!
Awwww, Hannah. This is just perfect. Baby Handy doesn't know how lucky it is yet :)
