Owl Piggy Bank
With help from my mama, sister, mamma in law and sister in law, we created this masterpiece.
Take your loved ones, a fabric swatch from the nursery and get creative. It was SO. MUCH. FUN.

Chalk Sign

word board
you need:
sand paper
paint
brackets (to attach the wood together)
picture frame brackets
to make:
First, attach the pieces of wood together with your brackets. I used wood screws to make sure it stayed together the way I wanted. next, sand all of the rough edges off of the sides, to ensure no unnecessary splinters. Last, paint your desired word on the wood (I used "love"). To finish, hang with a normal picture hanging bracket.

wood growth chart
you need:
one piece of wood at your desired height/width
pencil
paint pen (or sharpie)
measuring tape
wood stain
picture frame bracket
to make:
First measure out each inch, starting at 6 inches from the bottom of the board, with a pencil, to your desired height. (I went to 7ft). Then, mark where the numbers need to go. You can either use a stencil or paint the numbers free hand, like I did. Go back over the lines and numbers with either a permanent marker or your desired paint color. Next, let the paint dry and stain to bring out the wood tones. To finish, hang on the wall with a picture frame bracket.

baby is sleeping sign
you need:
one piece of wood or wood like cutout
two desired paint colors
adhesive stencils
ribbon
decoupage
picture frame bracket
to make:
First, sand the board to make sure there are no splinters present. Next, paint the board your desired base color. After the board has dried, place your stencils where you want them on the board to spell out your desired phrase. Paint with your accent color over the stencils. Let dry. Remove the stencils for a complete dry. Paint or spray decoupage over the entire service to protect it. If your sign is going to hang outside, like mine does, make sure your decoupage is waterproof. To finish, tie with a ribbon and hang in your desired location.
