don't go it alone

It is so refreshing to be encouraged by the people that we tend to spend the most time with. I love the relationships that i have with a few wonderful Christian women. i know i can always count on them to greet me with a smile and meet me right where i am at. No matter how stressful the day is or the millions of tasks at hand, i know that i can always count on them for encouragement and I also pray that i am that encouragement to them as well.

while thanking God about the amazing relationships i have with these godly women, it got me pondering how important fellowshipping is in life... how important a community of believers is to our existence on earth. God did not want us to face trials alone. That is why He has created a desire in us to crave fellowship with other beleivers.

The Bible states in Philippians 2:4, "Don't look out only for your own interests, but take interest in others too"

I love the quote by Julie Barnhill, author of Exquisite Hope, that says, "One thing i know for sure: We were never created to go it alone... if we attempt to face life complexities alone, out heart and hole with shrivel. God has created us for community - for belonging."

Do you have a support system of woman around you? Is there someone that you know you can count on for encouragement no matter what?


If you answered no to either of these questions, i pray that you would seek God to bring someone into your life that you can have that kind of relationship with. someone that can meet you where you are at.
