December 6th has been a day that my family has celebrated ever since I can remember. Since my dad's family is from the Netherlands we have carried on the Dutch tradition. On the night of the 5th all of the boys and girls in the Netherlands set out their wooden shoes (some may know them better as clogs). Then on the morning of the 6th they run to their wooden shoes to find out if they have received a "St. Nick" cookie or coal! The cookie recipe is a secret recipe, so when I got married my mom gave it to me for safe keeping.

Last weekend Andy hung all of the lights outside. Our little house looks so nice. It is going to be so hard to pack up and leave. Kind of bittersweet thinking that this is the last Christmas in Greeley.

These are a few prayer requests as we finish up our semester and begin preparing for the Christmas season...
- Prayer to finish strong and stay focused studying for finals
- That we would retain the information we have studied this semester
- We would be a godly example to those who we come into contact with
- That we would never forget the most important part of Christmas, Jesus' birth
- That God would continue to strengthen our marriage and help us as a couple to bless others
